How We Use Cookies

What We Don't Use Cookies For

This site sets no tracking cookies, embeds no third-party analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no advertising trackers), and never sells or shares data with anyone. What we do keep is described below — all of it anonymous, all of it minimal, all of it under your control.

Anonymous Server Logs

Each page request triggers one server-side log entry recorded on our backend and never sent to any third party:

  • Path you requested (e.g. /map, /explore)
  • Browser user-agent string (browser + OS family)
  • Referer header (the page you came from, if any)
  • HTTP method (always GET for public pages)

No IP addresses, no cookies, no account identifiers. Aggregated counts help us see which pages are useful so we can keep them stable for visitors.

Browser Storage

Two preferences are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage API — never sent to our server unless you explicitly opt in:

Install prompt state
Whether you've dismissed the Add to Home Screen banner, so we don't re-ask on every visit.
Notification token cache
If you allow notifications, a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token so we can send match-day alerts. Cleared automatically when you turn notifications off.

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain resets both — there's no server-side state to worry about.

Notifications

Push notifications are strictly opt-in. You will see no prompts until you visit the Notifications page and click Allow.

  • We send match-day reminders and schedule changes — nothing else, ever.
  • Turn them off any time from the Notifications page or your browser's site settings.
  • Delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging. The device token is anonymous — no email, no name attached.

GDPR & Your Rights

This site is operated in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • We never sell or share your data with third parties.
  • All server logs are aggregated and anonymous.
  • Browser storage lives on your device — you can clear it any time.
  • Notifications are opt-in; opting out also drops the device token from our backend.
  • Right-to-be-forgotten requests: contact the tournament organisers (see the homepage).

Manage Your Data

You're in control:

  • Clear your browser's local storage for this site (Settings → Privacy → Site data) to reset all device preferences.
  • Turn notifications off from the dedicated Notifications page.
  • Use your browser's address-bar lock icon for per-site permission controls.

No consent banner — we have nothing to consent to.
